Accreditation

Over the past several years, the Higher Learning Commission has been changing the process for granting accreditation to colleges and universities. Reaccreditation no longer consists largely of a report put together during the last two years before the reaccreditation visit.

The new process, called Pathways, has revised criteria for accreditation and a new system for the review/reaccreditation process as a whole with:

  • ongoing collection of evidence over the ten-year review cycle,
  • a mid-cycle reporting point, and
  • the completion of a major quality initiative by the end of the cycle.

Visit the UNI Accreditation page for information on the preparation for our next accreditation visit in 2020-21.
